On February 29, 2024, Mr. Liu Ziqiang, the Chairman of CBITEC, paid a visit to H.E. Julius Maada Bio, President and head of state of the Republic of Sierra Leone at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, who was invited by President Xi Jinping to pay a state visit to China. President Bio and Chairman Liu Ziqiang had discussions and exchanged views on the development plan and project development of CBITEC in the Republic of Sierra Leone.
President Bio and his wife warmly received Chairman Liu Ziqiang and kindly said that the weather in Beijing was still a bit cold, but it only could cool the body, but could not cool the enthusiasm of China-Sierra Leone friendship and cooperation.The two sides carried out in-depth exchanges in a pleasant atmosphere.
First of all, Mr. Liu Ziqiang, expressed his heartfelt welcome to President Bio's invitation to visit China, and introduced to President Bio CBITEC's business and performance in Africa, especially in West African countries, and said that under the "Belt and Road" Initiative put forward by President Xi, CBITEC will actively cooperate with President Bio and take advantage of its own advantages and capabilities, and actively participate in the "Belt and Road" Initiative. With the concept of "courageous responsibility and honest cooperation", CBITEC will utilize its own advantages and capabilities to actively participate in the resource development and infrastructure construction of Sierra Leone.
President Bio congratulated the achievements of CBITEC, especially the completion of the municipal road project in Guinea,and expressed that such a mode of cooperation and high quality of work is exactly what Sierra Leone needs for its development. President Bio added that Guinea and Sierra Leone are neighboring countries and have highly similar national conditions, which can be referred to the same model to stimulate advantages and promote development.
